The whole episode was ridiculous. The book thing that tried to make us believe that Dan has always been there for her, which is ridiculous and make no sense at all. The Charlie story, really, I was expecting so much more. It was ridiculous as well. Serena mad at Ivy FOR NO REASON. She was the one who asked her to come back in the first place. Blair finding out that has feelings for Dan. Like, really? Now I’m expecting for: “Of course I love you, Dan. I love you more and more every day.” Because, you know, if he, apparently, loved her since forever, so why can’t she have done the same?(Sarcasm…) Hmm, the whole Cece storyline was so sad, though. She’s amazing and didn’t deserve to die :’( Oh and the whole Serena/Blair friendship speech was also ridiculous. Because, no matter what, Blair’s in love with the love of Serena’s life, and we know that nothing’s gonna be okay. Now Serena will lose her grandma, and Blair and Dan will be fucking each other like if nothing else in the world matters. And Chuck is alone as well (as he’s been for a long time). I feel so bad for Serena and Chuck right now. They’re suffering so much because of the people they love, and it’s not fair. But I’m gonna stop complaining because I can write all night about how upset I am, but that doesn’t mean that the story will change. So I’ll shut up.

Okay, to make it clear, this is NOT a Dair hate post, so spare me of your hate aks.
Serena Van Der Woodsen
We get it. She slept with her best friend’s boyfriend and made a fool of him and also Dan a few years later. I’m sorry, but that doesn’t she deserves what’s going on right now. Unlike most Dair fans are saying, she is not selfish.
- Who read the Gossip Girl prequel knows she was in love with Nate even before Blair told her she was also in love with him. Eitherway, Blair was the one who end up dating him, right?
- When Serena came back we all know Nate was willing to get back with her, but she didn’t because of Blair.
- On season 2, she gave up on Yale so Blair could make her dream true
but of course she ruined it.- Serena only dated Nate on season 3, because Blair had already dumped him because of Chuck, and was already obviously and madly in love with him.
- And now, she gave up on the love of her life, so Blair could enjoy her “affair” with him.
Honestly, How selfish is that? :)
As much as I love Serena’s development, I think Safran’s decision to make her suffer like this isn’t fair AT ALL.

Serena van der Woodsen, no one can ever call you selfish or thoughtless again. You saw that your ex-best friend wanted to be with the guy you thought was the love of your life, and you didn’t throw a tantrum. You didn’t throw the many men Blair has been dicking around all year in her face or call her all sorts of misogynistic terms. You didn’t even tell her you couldn’t be her friend anymore. Instead, you swallowed your pride and let her know that you would love her no matter how much she hurt you, because you understand that she’s been through so much this year and that she needs whatever safety net Dan provides, even if it means that she’ll continue disregarding your feelings like she has been doing all season.
I know it feels like you don’t matter to anyone, like Blair and Dan have chosen each other over you, and like your own grandmother didn’t want you to be present in her last months of life - but just know that you matter to me. You have grown so much from the girl who ran away from Manhattan for 6 months over a drunken one-night stand and a fake-murder-sex-tape. You’ve become a driven woman with ambitions, who stands up for what she believes in and lets the people she loves go when they need her to. And one day, you are going to find someone who loves everything about you, all the sunlight and warmth and strength inside of you, and isn’t just using you to achieve some other ends.

Did you see Serena’s face at the end of 5x16? When she saw Blair kissing Dan? Omg my heart broke, completely. I feel for her I mean the love of her life is with her best friend, her grandma died, her life is a mess. What she has left? Nothing at all. Still she’s being really mature about everything that’s happening and just trying you know, to let Blair shine and be happy (just like she’s always did) even if it’s Dan, the love of her life. Can I just say how proud I am of her? I freaking love you Serena, I really do… But please, for once in your life, take a stand. You have the right to be mad at Blair. I want to see you shine now. Oh and you deserve so much better than Humphrey.
Unpopular opinion: all things considered, Serena has been a better friend to Blair than Blair has been to Serena.
i had no problem with Dair until i saw that heartbroken look on Serena’s face in 5x16. for the first time in my life, i’m disappointed in Dan
